At Vibe, we bring the heat. We’re all about Urban, Commercial, and Heels dance—and trust, we don’t do boring. Expect a mix of themes, from Hip Hop and Dancehall to Sexy, Empowerment, and straight-up Sassy vibes.
But we like to keep you on your toes (literally), so don’t be surprised when Contemporary Week or Musicals Week drops in to shake things up. Variety is the spice of dance life, after all.
Our weekly VIBE breakdown: - Beginners Class – Tuesdays - Open Level – Wednesdays
Both classes feature the same routine and music, so you’re never missing out on the vibe. The difference? Our Open Level class might include slightly longer sequences, faster pacing, or a few more complex moves to spice things up.
Lots of dancers love doing both each week—using the Beginners class to nail the foundation and then levelling up on Wednesday with extra flair and confidence. It’s the perfect way to grow at your own pace while building those skills.
That said, Open Level is still beginner-friendly! Every move is broken down clearly, and we keep the energy supportive and empowering. So if Wednesday’s the only day you can make it—come on through. You are absolutely welcome.
When you first arrive at Tanwood, don’t worry—you won’t be wandering around lost. We will all either be outside the building or inside the foyer through the middle door. Once we enter the studio, drop your things around the edge of the room, and find a space that feels good to you. Whether you like a corner to yourself or front and centre, it’s all about where you feel most comfortable.
Class sizes can vary, so when it’s a full house, just stay aware of your space and your fellow vibers. We kick things off with a quick VIBE check and then get stuck into a warm-up-nothing too wild, just some feel-good moves and stretches to get the body moving.
Then it’s time for the real fun: choreography! We break it down slowly, step by step, layering in the music as we go. There’s always time to ask questions or grab a sip of water—this is your space, no pressure.
Once the routine is complete, we run it through a few times so you can really settle into it and build your confidence. You’ll go from “wait, what?” to “watch me slay” in no time.
Toward the end, we split the room in half so everyone gets a little more breathing room—and yes, this is your moment if you want to film your progress. Totally optional, of course. And if there’s time, we might do smaller group performances to give everyone a little spotlight moment. But again—no pressure. Watch, cheer, vibe, or join in if you’re feeling it.
We’re all about balance here—comfort and growth. Whether you’re here to stay in your safe space or take a bold step out of it, we’ve got you.
Totally normal to feel nervous—trust me, we’ve all been there. First things first: you’ve already done the bravest bit by deciding to show up. That’s huge!
Our vibe is all about good energy, zero judgement. You don’t need to be a pro, just come ready to move, have fun, and be kind to yourself. Wear something you feel comfy and confident in, bring a bottle of water, and remember—you’re allowed to mess up, laugh, and just enjoy the moment.
And if in doubt? Fake it ‘til you feel it. You’ve got this, and we can’t wait to vibe with you.
Not at all, honey! Whether you’ve never set foot in a dance studio or you’re dusting off your childhood dance dreams- we’ve got space for you. All levels, all vibes, all welcome.
No judgement, just good energy. So come as you are and let’s VIBE together.
Just the essentials, darling: - Something comfy to move in - A bottle of water to stay hydrated - Knee pads (especially for Heels class—your knees will thank you) - And most importantly… your confidence and sass
Come ready to feel good, move freely, and own your space. We’ll take care of the rest.
Wear whatever makes you feel like you. Comfort is key! Most dancers vibe wearing joggers, leggings, tracksuit bottoms, and a tee or gym top- with trusty trainers, of course.
Now, if it’s heels week? That’s your moment if you want to turn up the heat. Some dancers love to slip into something that makes them feel sexy- but it’s totally optional and no pressure to dress a certain way. You do not have to wear heels to take a heels class. Socks, trainers, whatever makes you feel good and lets you move.
If you do go for heels, stilettos or block heels are both fab—just make sure they’ve got decent ankle support. Because slaying safely is the vibe.
Heels may be the name of the class—but honey, they’re totally optional. You’ll still be diving into all the good stuff: technique, flow, posture, confidence, and learning how to move like your fiercest self—even if you’re rocking socks or trainers.
Whether it’s a personal choice, an injury, or you’re just not feeling the heels that day—it’s all good. You’ll still leave the room stronger, sassier, and more connected to your body.
So show up as you are, and let the vibes do the rest.
We highly recommend Joheela Heels to all our dancers—they’re an amazing beginner-friendly option and totally customizable to suit your style. Even better? You get 15% off with our exclusive VIBE discount code: VIBEDANCE
Each pair is made just for you, with a variety of styles, heel heights, and sole options. For newbies, we suggest the classic 8.5cm stiletto—it's the sweet spot for learning the ropes while building confidence and ankle strength. But if you’re more experienced and feeling bold and balanced, go ahead and level up that heel!
When it comes to soles, it’s all about personal preference:
Suede sole: ultra-flexible, super smooth, perfect for pointing those toes and giving you that elegant glide and refined leg line.
All floors sole: similar to a regular shoe but designed specifically for dance. It’s a bit firmer than suede, offering extra stability—especially great for beginners still finding their feet.
So whether you’re just starting your heels journey or ready to turn the sass all the way up, Joheela’s got your back (and your feet).
Filming is always on your terms. We love capturing those magic moments on camera—not to critique, but to celebrate how fabulous you look and to help you see your growth from class to class. Watching your progress is a real confidence booster, promise.
That said, filming yourself is completely optional. If it’s not your vibe, no worries at all—just let us know. We’ll make sure you’re in a space in the room where you feel safe and comfortable, especially since others in the room may be recording themselves.
Your comfort comes first, always. We're here to make sure you can focus on dancing and feeling good, whatever that looks like for you.
